#fromwhereistand : popular hash tag encourages fashionable shoes

Standard

Instagram, a popular phone application that turns your normal photographs into square, vintage looking photos, has a popular hash tag trending: #fromwhereistand. It’s exactly how it sounds, you take a photo from where you are standing. Pointing the camera down towards your feet, you have the opportunity to show your shoes (though sometimes just feet) in whatever environment you’re currently in.

Vintage Style Icon: Patricia Franchini in Breathless

Standard

Breathless Fashion

Patricia Franchini, in the 1960 French film, Breathless, was iconic. The film is in French and takes place in Paris, France. There are not any special effects, million dollar budgets, or plastic surgery Hollywood actors. Instead, the wholesome film is lovely because it focuses on intriguing dialogue, classic fashion, and it is in France which makes everything better.

Both photos found here.
